We had a lovely stay at this romantic and luxurious hotel. the room was well decorated and brand-new with a large balcony with the most beautiful sunset. the service was impeccable. Our accommodation was set in a remote location just next door to a hilltop overlooking the hills of Montalcino and the Brunello vineyard.

The location itself is top!
The suite for 3 people is not suitable for 3 adults. However, the air conditioning in the room must always work!!! The restaurant is way overpriced and was unable to prepare a nice salad. Everything should work better for this price. Otherwise the hotel is beautiful!

Very good service and excellent food (the cook is really good). Location on top of a hill with a great view.
Localita Velona is not known in GPS. Missing signs w.r.t. reception, parking, ... Restaurant is not comfortable, it has the character of a waiting room in a railway station; we recommend carpets to get rid of this "cold" atmosphere.

very romantic, a luxurious blend of historical beauty and contemporary design in a clean, uncluttered resort experience. The staff are warm, friendly, and will do anything that you need. Montalcino is a lovely town, and the castle's setting is private and mystical, from the moment you start up the long winding drive to the top of the hill.

This stay met our expectations. We would like to come back and stay for a few days so we can really enjoy the experience. Atmosphere felt like a luxury experience and we were sorry to leave so soon.
Finding it with a GPSsystem was very frustrating. I recommend that the villa send out detailed directions at time of booking.
